Refrigerated containers are specialized containers designed specifically for transporting food products such as fish, meat, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Due to the specific nature of the cargo being loaded, special attention is required for time-sensitive processes such as customs clearance and trucking.

There are three types of refrigerated containers:

 refrigerated container、reefer container、insulated container.

Sealed containers are used for transporting perishable goods such as fresh fish, fresh meat, frozen food, fruits, vegetables, film, and pharmaceuticals that require specific temperature control. There are two types of containers available: refrigerated containers and insulated containers.

Refrigerated containers typically have an integrated refrigeration unit located at the front end of the container. When the refrigeration system is operating, cold air is blown from the ventilation duct at the rear of the container, passing through the gaps between the protrusions on the container walls and the ventilation rails on the container floor. It then enters the refrigeration unit through the cold air intake on the front wall, creating a continuous cycle. To enhance cooling efficiency, the interior walls, ceiling, and floor of the refrigerated container are lined with insulation materials. The working temperature of the refrigerated container ranges from -28°C to +26°C, and it can automatically adjust the internal temperature according to the requirements of the cargo.

There are some precautions to be taken when transporting goods using refrigerated containers:

1、The refrigerated container should be pre-cooled before loading the goods, adjusting it to the appropriate temperature.

2、If the onboard generator fails during transportation and cannot provide proper refrigeration for the refrigerated container, the transport team must be immediately notified to take remedial measures.

3、To ensure the safe storage and transportation of frozen goods, it is necessary to carefully confirm the temperature, ventilation volume, and pre-cooling requirements when booking the warehouse. In general, frozen goods (below 0°C) do not require ventilation, only refrigerated fresh goods (fruits and vegetables above 0°C) require ventilation.
