  2. LCL (Less than Container Load)
    If the shipment is smaller or doesn’t require a full container, Less than Container Load (LCL) is a more cost-effective option. LCL shipments involve sharing container space with other goods. While it can save on costs for smaller volumes, it requires additional handling and consolidation, which might slightly increase transit time. However, the sea journey is typically around 9 days, making it a reasonable option for a wide range of goods.

Shipping Terms: CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight)

When opting for CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), the seller assumes responsibility for the cost of goods, the cost of shipping, and insurance until the goods arrive at Takamatsu Port. This means that the seller will cover the expenses related to freight charges and insurance until the goods reach the port of destination. Once the goods reach Takamatsu, the buyer is responsible for customs clearance, taxes, and delivery beyond the port.

Sea Journey: Duration and Route

The sea shipping route from Guangzhou or Shenzhen to Takamatsu takes approximately 9 days, depending on weather conditions, port schedules, and potential transshipment stops. Packaging of Goods: How to Ensure Safe Transport

    Given the potential risks during sea transport, it is always advisable to purchase cargo insurance as part of the CIF agreement. This provides peace of mind in case of damage, theft, or loss during the sea journey.
