This shipment involves the import of tempered glass from China to the United States, with final delivery to the consignee’s address in Atlanta, Georgia. The transportation is arranged under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) door-to-door terms, covering the entire logistics chain including pickup, consolidation, ocean freight, customs clearance, duties, and final delivery.
Shipment Overview
The tempered glass is manufactured in Linyi, Shandong Province, China. Upon authorization from the customer, we arranged truck pickup directly from the factory and transported the cargo to our Qingdao warehouse for consolidation. From Qingdao, the cargo was shipped by sea to the United States.
Depending on shipment volume, we offer:
- FCL (Full Container Load) options such as 20GP and 40HQ containers
- LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, with consolidation and customs clearance at Tampa Port, followed by inland trucking to Atlanta
After customs clearance in the U.S., the goods are delivered by truck directly to the customer’s warehouse in Atlanta.

DDP Door-to-Door Service Scope
Our DDP service provides a complete, worry-free logistics solution, including:
- Factory pickup in China
- Inland transportation and warehouse consolidation
- Ocean freight from Qingdao to the U.S.
- U.S. customs clearance and import documentation
- Payment of import duties and taxes
- Inland trucking and final delivery to the consignee’s door
This ensures the customer receives the cargo without needing to handle any logistics, customs, or compliance procedures.
Tempered Glass Packaging Standards
To ensure maximum safety during long-distance ocean and inland transportation, tempered glass must be packed according to strict protective standards. The core principle is shock absorption + rigid fixation + anti-tipping protection.
Key Packaging Requirements
- Shock Absorption Protection
Each glass panel is fully wrapped with sufficient foam rolls, covering surfaces and edges to absorb vibration and impact during transit. - Rigid Outer Packaging
A solid wooden box is used as the outer layer to provide structural strength and support the weight of the glass. - Vertical Packing Method
Glass must be packed in a vertical position. Flat packing is strictly avoided, as it can cause uneven pressure and increase the risk of breakage.
Transportation Support Design
- Anti-Tipping Wooden Frames
Wooden support frames are installed on both sides of the glass to create a stable structure and prevent tipping during handling and transportation. - Forklift Access Design
Forklift legs are reserved at the bottom of the wooden crates, enabling safe and efficient loading and unloading while minimizing manual handling risks.
