This method involves sharing a container with other shippers, so you only pay for the space you need. 2. Packaging Goods for Sea Freight

  • For LCL Shipments:

    • Specialized Packaging: For high-value or delicate products, it’s important to use custom packaging solutions such as foam inserts, bubble wrap, or air cushions to minimize the risk of damage.
    • Labeling: Proper labeling is especially important in LCL shipments to ensure correct identification and facilitate easier tracking and customs clearance. Labels should include the consignee’s information, description of goods, and any special handling instructions.

3. Transit and Customs

During the sea freight journey, your goods will pass through various checkpoints, including customs clearance at both the departure and arrival ports. For CIF shipments, the cost of insurance and freight is already covered, which means you won’t have to worry about these charges upon arrival at Vladivostok Port.

Once the goods reach Vladivostok, the customs authorities will inspect the shipment. Proper and accurate documentation will help expedite this process. Upon clearance, the goods will be available for pick-up or further transportation to their final destination.
