Packaging Guidelines

To ensure that the gift boxes are transported securely and arrive in good condition, it’s crucial to use proper packaging methods. Here’s how to prepare your goods for shipment:

  1. Primary Packaging

    • Use sturdy gift boxes that can withstand stacking and handling during transit.
    • Wrap fragile items individually with bubble wrap or foam to protect against breakage.

  2. Secondary Packaging

    • Place the gift boxes into corrugated cartons with a thickness of at least 5 layers for added protection.
    • Fill empty spaces within the cartons with cushioning material such as air pillows, packing peanuts, or crumpled paper to prevent movement.

  3. Palletization (for FCL shipments)

    • Stack cartons neatly on standard-sized pallets (120cm x 100cm).
    • Wrap the pallet with stretch film and secure it with strapping to ensure stability during handling.

  4. Markings and Labeling

    • Clearly label each carton with details such as the consignee’s name, address, and a description of the contents.
    • Include handling instructions like “Fragile” or “This Side Up” if applicable.

  5. Moisture and Weather Protection

    • Use waterproof liners or plastic wrapping inside the cartons to protect against humidity or water damage during the sea voyage.
    • For containers, consider using desiccant packets to absorb excess moisture.

  1. Booking and Documentation

    • Choose a reliable freight forwarder to handle the CIF shipment.
    • Ensure all necessary documents (commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading) are prepared.

  2. Pickup and Loading

    • For FCL, the container will be delivered to your facility for loading.
    • For LCL, goods will be transported to the freight forwarder’s consolidation warehouse.

  3. Sea Transit

    • Goods are shipped from the Port of Guangzhou/Shenzhen.
    • The journey to Maribor Port typically takes 30 days, subject to weather and port conditions.

  4. Arrival and Clearance

    • Upon arrival at Maribor Port, the consignee handles customs clearance and arranges final delivery to the destination.
